Ingredients

  • Summa Salt’s Elderberry Basil (for rim + pinch on top)
  • 4 oz Pinot Grigio (see mocktail swap)
  • 2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • Sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Garnish: fresh purple basil leaves, lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Rim the glass: Run a lemon slice around the rim, then dip into Elderberry Basil until coated. Set aside.
  2. Shake: In an ice-filled shaker, combine Pinot Grigio, orange juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake until well-chilled.
  3. Build: Fill the rimmed glass with ice. Strain the shaker into the glass, about halfway.
  4. Top: Add chilled sparkling water to fill. Garnish with purple basil and a lemon slice. Finish with a pinch of Elderberry Basil on top.

Pro Tips & Variations

  • No shaker? Build directly over ice and stir 10–12 seconds.
  • Sweetness: Add simple syrup 1/4 oz at a time to taste.
  • Mocktail: Swap Pinot Grigio for white grape juice or a non-alcoholic white wine.
  • Batching: For 6 drinks, multiply all ingredients by 6; top each glass with sparkling water just before serving.
